Here is the third painting from my series ‘Spirit of India’ featuring the essence of Maharashtra on my Canvas.

Being a Maharashtrian, I was itching to paint this one since soo longg! There are soooo many unique dishes in Maharashtra, I chose to paint Vada-Pav which is loved by anyone and everyone. 😃 The state has a lot of traditional ‘Wadas’ (large mansions) and ‘Toran’ on the door adds to its beauty. 😊

Maharashtra has an honour to have had a king like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. As kids, most of Maharashtrians have made ‘Diwali Killa’ (fort made by mud) in Diwali, where we place the king as well as his Mavalas around him. What a lovely tradition it is! I had to include it in my painting. 🤗

Lastly, garnished the painting with the traditional Warli Art.
